Beyond Partnership and Leadership we come to Vision. All of the literature on ‘The Secret’, links our success in manifesting the life we want to the process of visualising it, both as vision and emotion. The process of acting like it has already occurred is another example of how suggestible our mind is – how we really can write our future, on the movie screen of our minds.
It is also why ’The Secret’ is being viewed with discouragement by so many people, and why ‘The Masters’ are now gathering to show people the way through their blocks.To Psychology of Vision, this is no surprise. As we saw in the last newsletter, until we are in the partnership stage of life, we are unable to receive, or only receive sporadically. Until we are in leadership, we are not living from our fullness and power. Until we reach Vision, our creativity is also sporadic, although musicians, painters, scientists, writers, access their vision mind … and find it blocked from time to time too. If we are stuck in independence, it is difficult to get emotional about anything!
Blocks to the Vision Mind
We do need to remove the old habits, beliefs and attitudes that block us, but we also need to reach out to this deeper mind. This is the mind of the unconscious, the place we stored our stories, cultures, religions, family attitudes and histories, even before we put words to them.
It is also the place we stored our fears, especially traumas we experienced at a young age. Our emotions are very strong, long before we name them, and in our vision mind we find those terrors, along with our power and creativity. A simple example is the number of people who will uncover a ‘hospital’ story, as a point where they lost faith and optimism in life, people, parents. Being left alone in hospital is very frightening for a small child. Early bereavements are so painful, that in our heartbreak, we literally close off a piece of our heart. So it is not surprising, that although visualising our positive future is very powerful, these unconscious forces are also at work, preventing our life working for us.
